Another sure sign of the Houston holiday season is the opening of Zoo Lights at the Houston Zoo beginning Friday, November 21 at 6 p.m.  Presented by TXU Energy, the annual spectacular has more than 2 million lights including new additions this year.  The holiday tradition offers fun for kids of all ages with larger than life displays completely illuminated.  Visitors are encouraged to bring a camera to capture the magic.

The Houston Zoo is a short drive from Pearland traveling north on Highway 288.  Evening entertainment includes carolers and musical groups from the Houston area performing at the Reflection Pool stage at 7 and 8 p.m.  The Houston Zoo general admission is separate from Zoo Lights.

From Pearland, travel north on Texas 288 and exit S. MacGregor Way.  Continue on service road, turn left on N. MacGregor Way.  Turn right on Cambridge St., take the first right onto Hermann Park Drive.
