From sporting events to cultural initiatives, tourism continues to support Pearland’s economy and local businesses. Tourism doesn’t just benefit visitors, it strengthens the entire Pearland community.
Here are five key takeaways from the report.
Pearland continues to attract travelers from across Texas and beyond. In FY2025, the city welcomed 372,000 visitors, reflecting steady growth in travel to the area.
In FY2025, Pearland generated $1,796,910 in Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) revenue, which directly supports tourism promotion and visitor-related initiatives.
Visitor spending helps sustain Pearland’s hospitality and service industries. Tourism supported approximately 1,000 jobs across hotels, restaurants, retail businesses, and entertainment venues.
Pearland continues to be a destination for youth and amateur sports tournaments. In FY2025, 32 events generated nearly 3,900 hotel room nights, bringing athletes, families, and spectators to the city.
Visit Pearland continues to invest in Pearland’s cultural identity through Cultural Arts Matching Grants and initiatives aligned with the city’s Cultural Arts Master Plan, helping support local artists, organizations, and public art experiences.
