TAAF WGOT 2020

Pearland is ready to host this year’s TAAF Winter Games of Texas coming January 18-20, 2020.  We’ve put together a list of the frequently asked questions to help participants navigate the Games:

Q: What if there is inclement weather?
A: Delays and/or schedule changes will be communicated by the tournament/meet organizer of each sport.  In the event of severe weather, schedules will be updated online at TAAF.com and on the Parks & Recreation event hotline at 281-412-8989.

Q: Where do I park?
A: Free on-site parking is available at each event destination. Overnight parking and campers are not permitted.

Q: What are the prices for Spectator admission?
A:   Gate & ticket admission for spectators is applicable during the following events: Basketball, Gymnastics, Karate, Powerlifting  and Swimming.  Fees vary per sporting event and are listed on TAAF.com under the individual sporting page.  All other events are free to spectators. 

Q: Have can I find event results?
A: Results will be available online at TAAF.com post event under the individual sporting event page.

 Q Where can I purchase Official Winter Games of Texas Apparel
A: Winter Games of Texas apparel will be on sale Saturday and Sunday at the Pearland Recreation Center & Natatorium, 4141 Bailey Road, Pearland.

Q: Can I leave and re-enter the event later?
A: Yes, just check with the individual sport for re-entry policy, as some require ticketed admission.

Q:  Where will First Aid be located? 
A: We will have EMS on site at the Pearland Recreation Center and Natatorium, 4141 Bailey Road, Pearland.  Each venue will have a designated First Aid location/personnel.

Q: Is there an ATM onsite?
A: No.  There will not be ATM machines on-site. Please bring cash.  Most admission gates and concession stands do not accept credit or check.

Q: Can I bring my pet?
A: For the health and safety of all our guests we ask that you please do not bring your pets (of course, service dogs in harness are welcome).

Q: Can I smoke or consume alcohol at the event?
A: No.  Smoking and alcohol are prohibited at this event.  Thank you for understanding.

Q: What time are each of the events?

Q: Will there be concessions onsite?
A: Concessions will be available most venues, check TAAF.com/wgot2020 for details.

Q: I have lost a valuable item. Where can I go to try and retrieve it?
A: Lost and found for each event site will be located at the headquarters/check-in area at each event site.  All items will be turned in at the Pearland Recreation Center & Natatorium at the conclusion of the weekend.
