Get ready for some major retro vibes, because we’re bringing the hottest movies of today to the screens of the past. That’s right, drive-in movies are here! The Texas heat may be coming to an end (hopefully), but with Sunset Cinema, you can make the most of the last days of summer. Through the rest of September, join Pearland Parks and Recreation every Friday for a drive-in movie series that will give you all the throwback feels.
Once you arrive at the Recreation Center and Natatorium, all you have to do is tune into the FM station or roll down your windows and kick back in your vehicle as you take in the views of the 30-foot inflatable screen. If you’re a popcorn and a soda kinda person, we’ve got you covered with our onsite mobile food vendors. Or pack your own treats and snack the night away.
Family-friendly flicks
The best part? The films are perfect for the whole family. On September 18th, watch the vibrant tale of family, fun, and adventure in Coco, as an aspiring young musician named Miguel embarks on a magical journey reconnecting him with his ancestors. Tickets will be available starting Monday, September 14th at noon!
Go on a classic adventure with The Goonies on September 25th. Whether you’ve seen this blast from a past a thousand times or never before, this family action movie is the perfect way to unleash your inner kid and wrap up your summer. Tickets will be available starting Monday, September 21st at noon!
Online Registration
Advance online registration is required for all showings, and space is limited. So be sure to grab your tickets when they are released on Monday at noon here. Tickets are only $15 per vehicle, with a maximum occupancy of 10 people or less. Entry to the events starts at 7 pm, and the films will start rolling at 8:20 pm in the Recreation Center & Natatorium North Parking Lot.
