Guidelines for Visit Pearland Sponsorship Funding Request

Visit Pearland supports projects and events with a tourism-centric appeal. The project/event should have the potential to bring visitors to the City, increase awareness of Pearland, and generate an overall, positive economic impact. Successful applications will be considered with the following criteria addressed:

A Sponsorship Funding Request Application must be submitted a minimum of two months (2) months and no more than twelve (12) months prior to the project/event date.
The Sponsorship Funding Request Application detail should outline the benefits Visit Pearland will receive from the sponsorship of the project/event and specify how the project/event provides economic impact through occupancy tax revenue via hotel room nights and/or sales tax revenue to the City.

Visit Pearland can be used as a resource for outreach to Pearland hotels to obtain booking links and rate information. The applicant should describe how the data will be distributed and tracked.

Approved Sponsorship Funding Request Applicants may be required to include the following as appropriate: the Visit Pearland logo, website landing page, hotel information. Approved applicants should allow a minimum of 5 business days for approval of marketing materials using the Visit Pearland brand.

Visit Pearland has the right to decline any and all funding requests. Year to year funding is not guaranteed and funding requests must be made on a year-to-year basis. Sponsorship involvement must be to the benefit of Pearland hotels and the Visit Pearland mission statement. Visit Pearland must be given the opportunity to gain visibility through advertising opportunities at the event as well as have unlimited access to the event and participation in the event.

Sponsorship may require the completion of a Final Report by recipient at the conclusion of the event.
