The Spring season brings lots of choices for area events and fun things to do.  We’ve put together this week’s list offering you six ways to spend your weekend in the Pearland area!

Paws in the Park in Pearland Texas1.  Doggy dancing, costume contests, face-painting, and laser tag are just part of the weekend activities at the 21st annual installment of Paws in the Park in Pearland.  The H-E-B Pet & Owner Fun Run kicks off the festivities on Saturday, March 28 at 8 a.m. followed by national Dock Diving competition.

2.  The Easter Bunny hops into Bass Pro Shops Pearland on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29 for free photos with the kiddies from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Other activities include crafts from 1 to 4 p.m. and a 1-hour Easter egg hunt beginning at 2 p.m. for kids ages 2-10.

3.  David Allen Coe headlines the closing night at the Alvin Music Festival and Cook-Off on Saturday, March 28 at Briscoe Park in Alvin.  Held March 27-28, the two-day festival has a great line-up of live music, an IBCA sanctioned cook-off, a kids area, food vendors, crawfish, a beer & wine garden, and a 5K Mud Run.

4.  If you’re thinking about planning a special occasion party whether it’s a wedding, milestone birthday, or anniversary party in Pearland, you’ll want to make plans to attend the Reflection Bay Event Center Open House on Sunday, March 29 from 1 to 5 p.m.  Guests will take a tour of the facility and meet vendors from the entertainment, bar, food and hospitality area.  RSVP 281-741-3131

Haak Food Truck Festival -24335.  HAAK Vineyards & Winery celebrates its 4th Bi-Annual Madeira Food Truck, Art & Culinary Festival on Saturday, March 28 from 3 to 10 p.m.  Live music, pictures with the Easter Bunny, artisan vendors, an Easter Egg hunt for the kids and delicious menu items from a variety of food trucks round out this event.

6.  Sports fans get ready for March Madness in Houston with the Experience it Live – 2015 NCAA Division Men’s Basketball Championship South Regional at NRG Stadium on Friday, March 27 and Sunday, March 29 hosted by Rice University and University of Houston.
