The Pearland area is eagerly awaiting the opening of the Seabrook Waffle Company on Saturday, December 21. Seabrook Waffle offers delicious varieties of the Liège-style waffle, pronounced “lee” + “edge”, famous world-wide as the very best Belgium waffle.  Seventeen sweet and savory varieties on the menu include a Houston favorite, Chicken & Waffle.

Seabrook Waffle Company is the newest dining spot on Pearland’s expanding culinary landscape. Visitors will find a full menu of specialty restaurants, from home cooking to international dishes, throughout the Pearland area. Most eateries are casual, and children are always welcome.

What is a Liège waffle?

While most waffles are made with batter, Liège-style waffles are made from a brioche-like dough, laced with chunks of pearl sugar that caramelizes during cooking. The pearl sugar clusters give a slightly tart contrast to the otherwise buttery taste. Each bite is sweet and crunchy. Liège-style waffles are delicious without toppings or embellishments and can be eaten hot, warm or cold. They are wonderful snacks.

Sweet & Savory Menu Items

Seabrook Waffle’s menu elevates a delicious Liège waffle to new heights. For example, among the 11 Sweet Suggestions is Strawberry Shortcake, fresh strawberries topped by heavy whipped cream. Another selection, Crowning Oak, features fresh strawberries, fresh bananas, whipped cream & sliced almonds.

The Monte Cristo, a combination of turkey, ham, Swiss cheese, crumbled bacon & raspberry jalapeño preserves is on the Savory Menu. Other popular Savory selections include Eggs Benedict and Sausage Eggs Benedict. There is also a children’s menu.

Seabrook Waffle’s upscale coffee shop specializes in freshly brewed coffee, latte, cappuccino, espresso and more. Non-alcoholic beverages are available. The shop opens daily at 6:30 a.m. There is seating inside the shop and outdoors.
