The origin of Pearland’s namesake stems from the flowering pear trees found in the late 1800s by Polish nobleman Mark Zychlinski. Today, Zychlinski Park is home to two of the 20 unique, 4-foot pear sculptures installed around the City.
Known as Pear-Scape, the trail of pears painted by local artists is a nod to Pearland’s historical namesake. Pears at the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Railroad Depot are a popular selfie spot for many visitors to Pearland. For a complete list of the Pear-Scape Trail locations click here.
