Pena’s Donuts and Diner celebrates its official grand opening on Saturday, January 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 10555 Pearland Parkway location. Visitors will enjoy entertainment by University of Houston’s mascot Shasta and the Cougar Dolls cheerleading team. Face painting, a photo booth, kid’s games, gift card giveaways and free samples are also part of the day’s activities.

Pena’s Donuts and Diner, owned by Pearland resident Ray Pena, represents the second location for the family-owned business. Operated by Pena’s son Ryan, the Diner concept expands on the success of the original Pena’s Donut Heaven in Pearland.

Visitors will find the popular donuts and breakfast items offered at the original location at the new Pena’s Donuts and Diner plus an expanded grill menu with four styles of eggs benedict, chicken and waffles and an assortment of burgers on the lunch menu.

“We’re launching mimosas at the Grand Opening on January 14th which will be a weekend item moving forward,” according to Ryan Pena, manager of Pena’s Donuts & Diner. “Since our soft opening on October 28th, we’ve had plenty of time to make adjustments and we’re ready to celebrate.”

With a seating capacity of 95, the new location triples the size of the original and showcases a more, contemporary feel. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
