Initial Application

Sponsors interested in participating in the PearScape Trail program are invited to submit an application to begin the process.

The PearScape Program is a city-wide public art initiative that celebrates and supports artists while creating shared cultural experiences across Pearland. Participation contributes to the stewardship of public art and helps shape the city’s evolving cultural landscape.

Applicants will be asked to provide:

• Name and contact information
• Proposed location for the sculpture
• Sponsorship level

Visit Pearland will guide the process by:

  • Confirming the proposed location and ensuring compliance.
  • Working collaboratively with sponsors to review:
    • Artist selection (from the Approved Artist Roster)
    • Stewardship and maintenance considerations
    • Installation coordination

Design Review

  1. Sponsors meet with the Visit Pearland Arts Administrator to review the proposed location, creative direction, and artist selection.
  2. Designs are evaluated to ensure alignment with program guidelines and overall quality standards.
  3. The Art Review Team is advised of recommendations as part of the review process.

Approval & Next Steps

  1. Once approved, Visit Pearland will notify the sponsor and begin coordinating next steps.
  2. Sponsors will enter into a sponsorship agreement, including a commitment to the long-term care of the PearScape sculpture.
  3. Visit Pearland will initiate the artist agreement, and the selected artist will begin the design and creation process.

What This Means

By participating in PearScape, sponsors serve as champions of the arts—supporting artists while contributing to the stewardship of public art across Pearland.

Each sculpture becomes part of a shared cultural experience that reflects the identity and growth of the community.
