Pearland is home to Central Texas Style BBQ a family-owned restaurant serving signature dishes since 1969.  Dubbed as one of the oldest restaurants in Pearland, Central Texas Style BBQ is a landmark located near the intersection of Highway 35 and FM 518 at its 4110 Broadway Street location.  Hickory-smoked meats pair with homemade sides and desserts setting this barbecue spot apart.

Owner Ruth Leclere began working at the restaurant at an early age with her mother, Diana.  Today, four generations work at Central Texas Style BBQ including Ruth’s mom who accompanies the live music most weeks, Ruth’s son Devon manages the restaurant and her grandchildren are working at the restaurant regularly.  Many of the menu items are named after family members.  Visitors will find many family photos and Pearland memorabilia scattered throughout the local restaurant.

Celebrating their Cuban heritage, a few of the dishes include a nod to the Leclere legacy.  Beef brisket is the big seller and all of their sides are homemade and made fresh daily.
