Pearland’s Premiere LUX Cine’ 6 theater at 5050 Broadway announces plans to reopen on Friday, June 19th. The announcement follows the Governor’s phased reopening plans allowing Texas cinemas to operate under special guidelines including a 50% occupancy cap.

“This is an important achievement and we are thrilled to reopen” said Premiere Director Maria Barrales. “We’ve missed our customers and I think they’re more-than-ready to start enjoying the big-screen movie experience again.”

Pearland Premiere underwent upgrades last year for all auditoriums including luxurious recliner seating, each seat with its own private table. Guests will notice a few operational changes with the planned reopening. Face masks are optional for guests. Staff will wear gloves and face masks during the current phase and be temperature-screened as an abundance of caution. New cashier partitions and hand sanitizer stations are installed along with enhanced cleaning/sanitization protocols. Show times will stagger with more time between showings to ensure seats are disinfected. New signage and floor markers similar to those in grocery stores are installed reminding people of social distancing recommendations.

All of the auditoriums feature spacious recliners where guests can select and reserve their own seats online or in-person. Friends and family may all sit together while designated seats will be left unoccupied to achieve capacity and distancing guidelines. This also allows guests to spread out for more privacy.

Pearland Premiere continues to follow local, state and federal guidelines to the welfare of staff and communities as a top-priority. The goal is to provide the finest in quality and enjoyment from the big-screen movie-going experience on every visit. Movie-fans have much to look forward to this year from a strong slate of highly-anticipated movies being released by Hollywood into theatres starting this summer.
