There’s something special about jazz music that touches everyone’s soul, whether you’re a longtime listener or a ragtime novice. When De Garth Presents premiered the Pearland Jazz Series in October of 2021 they knew that they had something special on their hands, and after their first season closed with resounding applause they were proven right.

The summer 2022 season includes featured artists from across the state of Texas and began with a lavish presentation by Houston-area saxophone extraordinaire Lloyd Hughes on May 26. On June 30 the series welcomes returning favorite Joe Carmouche taking the Hilton Garden Inn stage, with distinguished percussionist Pat Williams scheduled for July 28, and modern vibraphonist Jalen Baker on August 25.

Founded by jazz enthusiast DeWitt Garth Jr. and trumpeter Michael C. Lewis, and sponsored by the Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau, the mission of De Garth Presents Pearland Jazz is to provide highly qualified, local entertainers a venue to showcase their talents, and to provide opportunities for musicians to grow in their fields. Each show has been designed to give the guest an unforgettable musical experience.
