Pearland is perched in a prime spot to attract fans and teams as host to the 2X Cricket USA Cup 2016 and home to the only privately-owned cricket stadium in the United States. Moosa Stadium, located at 5515 McKeever Road, #100 in Pearland, welcomes international cricket teams competing in the 2nd largest sport in the world.

The 2X Cricket USA Cup 2016 is a five-day event taking place November 8 through November 13 with 8 teams competing in a total of 15 matches with 2 semi-final matches and 1 final round. Boasting the most exciting form of cricket, the 2X format promises a fast-paced, exciting game of play with more drama.

“I built and invested in Moosa Stadium because the need for a local cricket facility with a natural turf impacted the success of local teams to perform and compete successfully at the international level,” according to Sakhi Muhammad, owner of Moosa Stadium.

Currently the stadium is used for practice play for American College Cricket and hosts several matches throughout the year for international teams. With the first phase of construction complete, Moosa Stadium currently offers three turf fields, fan stands, dressing rooms, a press box, and picnic grounds. Future phases are in the planning stages.
