Shake off the winter blues at the Pearland Winterfest – an annual outdoor festival featuring snow tubing, carnival attractions, food vendors, live entertainment, and all kinds of wintery fun. The family-friendly event is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pearland Recreation Center & Natatorium, 4141 Bailey Rd.
“Pearland is proud to offer this unique event to the community. It’s one of the largest events hosted by the City, boasting eight to ten thousand attendees each year,” said Nicole Bowen, Special Events Coordinator.
HEB Plus! Winter Zone, featuring more than 200,000 pounds of snow, is the perfect opportunity to play in the snow or children can experience the thrill of tubing down a snow hill. Other event attractions include the exotic petting zoo and pony rides, sponsored by Westside Veterinary Hospital, carnival rides, Texas Snakes exhibit, activities, craft and food vendors plus much more.
The University of Houston Clear Lake – Pearland Main Entertainment stage will feature live music entertainment by the 80’s rock band “Thunderpants” and 60’s music entertainment by “The Spinsations.” The Green Zone stage, sponsored by Keep Pearland Beautiful, will feature performances by Steve Trash and the Crocodile Encounter.
Pre sale tickets are $8 for children ages 3 to 16 and $2 for ages 17 and up. Children 2 and under are free. Admission prices the day of the event are $10 for children ages 3 to 16 and $4 for ages 17 and up. Receive a $2 discount for each canned food donation brought to the event. Donations benefit the Pearland Neighborhood Center. Advance tickets are available through Jan. 29 at the Recreation Center and Natatorium or online.
