Kick off the holidays in Pearland at the annual Hometown Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, November 30th at the Pearland Town Center, 11200 Broadway Street. Festivities begin at 7 p.m. and include many activities for the young and the young at heart. The UHCL Pearland Campus horse and carriage rides are a favorite with visitors. Enjoy live music by the variety band “Kaos” on the Westside Veterinary Hospital stage. Don’t miss the H-E-B Winter Wonderland with a snow play area and snow hills for children. The Pearland Hometown Christmas Festival continues on Saturday, December 1, 2018 with the Holiday Gift Market from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Pearland Town Center. Head over to the 37th Annual Hometown Christmas Parade starting at 6 p.m in the heart of Pearland. This year’s theme, “Pearland 125: Past, Present and Future,” recognizes the City’s upcoming 125th anniversary, marking the kickoff of a year-long Quasquicentennial celebration in 2019.
The parade will follow its traditional route along FM 518 from Old Alvin Road and travel east to Pearland Parkway. A stage will be located mid-route along FM 518 where float judging and announcements will take place.
