The Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau is now accepting applications through September 1, 2016 for the FY 2017 Pearland Cultural Arts Grant Program. The Pearland Cultural Arts Grant Program provides funding from the hotel occupancy tax for projects that support cultural arts and fine arts in Pearland.

“The Pearland Cultural Arts Grant Program is instrumental in supporting arts within Pearland. We recognize the importance of arts in the scope of tourism and our overarching goal to position Pearland as an arts destination,” according to Kim Sinistore, Executive Director of the Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Under Sinistore’s direction, the Pearland Cultural Arts Grant Program was revamped to a process with a 60-day application period ending September 1 of the fiscal year. Applications are reviewed and awarded during the month of October.

Funding is limited to $30,000 annually with the maximum grant application awarded at $5,000 based on merit. Non-profit organizations located within the city limits of Pearland are encouraged to apply.   Applicants must meet eligibility criteria to be considered in the application process.
