Pearland Arts League announces its participation in the “Fusion of the Arts 2017” taking place on Saturday, August 26 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Reflection Bay Event Center, 12234 Shadow Creek Parkway Building #7 with free admission. International sculptor and painter, Lori Betz, will be the Juror for the 7th Annual Pearland Arts League Exhibition.

Ms. Betz’s studies in art included, the University of Austin, Shigaraki Institute, Japan, studies in Greece with artist Alan Bain and Cortona, Italy with artist Alex Deya. In 1995 she returned to the United States and opened her studio and gallery. She has recently created bronze sculptures in cooperation with the Houston Ballet and completed her sculptures of the Allen Brothers which is permanently installed in front of Houston’s City Hall.

One of her works is also on display at the Pearland Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Betz’s paintings are included in many private collections throughout the United States and with international collectors.

Pearland Arts League’s juried exhibition will include paintings, mixed media works, photography and 3D entries. Co-chairs, Margo I. Green and Michael Slattery will chair their 7th show for the League with the “Fusion of the Arts” event. Awards to be presented at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Reflection Bay Event Center, 12234 Shadow Creek Parkway Building #7, Pearland, TX 77584. The event is free and open to the public with additional art group presentations taking place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
