Pearland Arts League announces the opening of its first art gallery. Since 2001 the Pearland Arts League has depended on the generosity of Pearland businesses to host local art exhibitions, but the goal has always been to have a singular location to provide citizens and visitors a place to enjoy and purchase the creative works of area artists.
Now, through the generosity of the Pearland Town Center and the vision of Teir Allender, general manager of the Town Center and Pearland Convention & Visitors Bureau Advisory Board member, the Pearland Arts League gallery will celebrate its ribbon cutting ceremony at 11200 Broadway St., Suite 1380, Pearland, on Friday, September 24 at 5 p.m.
Mayor Kevin Cole and President of the Pearland Arts League Naomi Stevens will participate in this milestone occasion which is open to the public and will feature the work of 25 local artists. Attendees will be required to wear masks at the event.
The Pearland Arts League is supported by its membership, and a cultural arts grant from the City of Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The mission of the Pearland Arts League is to enrich the Pearland community and applaud its diversity by supporting works of artistic excellence, identifying venues to enable the display of artistic expression to the public, and strengthening the arts endeavor throughout the community.
