The Pearland Arts League “2014 Juried Exhibition” reception was held Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the second floor gallery space in the Pearland Recreation & Natatorium building at 4141 Bailey Rd in Pearland. [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”2_3″ last=”no”] The reception was attended by nearly 100 followers of the art scene in Pearland. Thirty art pieces selected by juror, Professor Matthew Linton of the University of Houston Clear Lake, were on display and will remain on display until October 4th.

The top five winners, of this 4th Annual Juried Exhibition were: Best of Show-Jon-Michael Hensley for his charcoal drawing creation named “Anthony Hopkins”; 1st Place winner was Dr. Steve Fisher’s photograph named, Crab Traps”; 2nd place winner was Brandie Minchew with her creation, “After the Party” and two Honorable Mention selections of Sandra Derrick “The Mechanic” and Scott Gilbert with his entry, Terminal Tackle”. Mayor Tom Reid and Kim Sinistore, Executive Director Convention & Visitors Bureau and Naomi Stevens President of Pearland Arts League were among the guest attending this award winning reception.

The “2014 Juried Exhibit”, chaired by Michael Slattery and Margo I. Green, will be available for viewing by the public through October 4th at the Pearland Recreation & Natatorium building. Check out pearlandartsleague.com for additional Arts League events. [/fusion_builder_column]
