The Pearl Theater presents a Jones Hope Wooten Comedy, Christmas Belles, opening on December 2, 2016.

It’s Christmas-time in Fayro, Texas, and the Futrelle sisters – Frankie, Twink and Honey Raye – are not exactly in a festive mood. Their church Christmas program is spinning hilariously out of control thanks to squabbling siblings, family secrets, a surly Santa, a vengeful sheep and a reluctant Elvis impersonator. This holiday journey through a misadventure-filled Christmas Eve is guaranteed to bring joy to your world!

Director Vince Tortorice says, “Having grown up in East Texas, with family stretching from the greater Houston area all the way east into Louisiana, I feel the story of Christmas Belles is a little like one of those family yarns told over and over around the Sunday dinner table. “Hey, y’all remember that Christmas when…” and fill in your favorite hijinks. It might remind you, or make you cringe, and just possibly, make you feel better about all those holiday celebrations you’ve had with your own family. It is sure to tickle your funny bone – and, hopefully, leave you thinking about some of the more meaningful reasons for the season!”
