Inspiration for Apricot Lane

Apricot Lane in Pearland

A Brazoria County native, Bernard’s goal of working in the NFL changed after the passing of her father, while she was in the midst of earning her MBA degree. With a passion for entrepreneurship and fashion, Bernard opened an Apricot Lane boutique after noticing a distinct need for a local fashion boutique that caters to the Pearland and surrounding communities’ specific sense of style. At the age of 24, Bernard is the youngest boutique owner in Apricot Lane’s franchise system, and with the tremendous support of her mother and sisters, she is excited to open the store. Bernard will serve as an independent, expert fashion merchandise buyer who fills her boutique with items directly based on community feedback. Area shoppers enjoy a personalized shopping experience and styles that cater to their fashion taste – all at affordable prices that Bernard can secure through Apricot Lane’s vendor relationships.

“The idea of opening a boutique in the area that has something for everyone is very, very exciting,” Bernard said. “The first time I walked into an Apricot Lane, I loved the atmosphere and fashion trends. The idea of there being only one set of merchandise, allowing customers to find a completely unique outfit that is all their own really piqued my interest in becoming a franchisee.

Community Ties

Committed to staying engaged with the community inside and outside of the boutique, Bernard will be active on both Instagram and Facebook, keeping customers in the loop on the arrival of new styles and sales, as well as the latest fashion trends and outfit inspirations. Apricot Lane of Pearland is also an active member of the Pearland Chamber of Commerce and will partner with the TIRR Memorial Hermann Research Center in memory of Bernard’s father.
