Travel the world with tastes and sounds from Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Europe, the Caribbean and Africa at the 2nd Annual Pearland International Festival taking place on Saturday, September 13 at Independence Park from 11 a.m. to 9.m.
Mexico will be spotlighted with displays of food, music, art and culture, in addition to a jalapeño eating contest and Grito contest.
The Pearland International Festival features live music on two stages, cultural dance performances, activities, international food and vendor booths, children’s entertainment and a kids zone. The VIP tent will showcase tastes from area restaurants and is co-sponsored by Reflection Bay Event Center at Shadow Creek and The Pearland Convention & Visitors Bureau. Guests will enjoy wines from around the globe and local wineries will be on hand to offer samples paired with bites from local restaurants plus fine art viewing by local artists.
The music lineup includes Mariachi Calmecac, The Willy Collins Band, Zydeco Dots, Galaxy Band, Walter Suhr and Mango Punch and Grupo La Calma.
