Two Day, FREE Event on October 6-7, 2018 at Pearland Town Center
Renowned visual painter, Ange Hillz, highlights the 5th annual Pearland Art & Crafts on the Pavilion with a live painting of a commissioned piece of work celebrating Pearland’s upcoming 125th anniversary on Saturday, October 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Pearland Town Center, 11200 Broadway Street.
The FREE, outdoor market presented by the Pearland Convention & Visitors Bureau showcases local artists plus an assortment of activities for all ages. Visitors can shop a curated market filled with local artists on Saturday, October 6 and Sunday, October 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year, the live music stage, sponsored by Kroger, will encompass another dimension of artistry with a singer/songwriter showcase of original music.
In addition to exceptional shopping, visitors can enjoy the Food Truck Court featuring Pearland’s Nacho Nachos, Space City Spudz and Jax Burgers. Craft beer by Pearland’s first microbrewery, BAKFISH Brewing Company will be available for purchase along with wine offerings.
National Art Honor Society students from Shadow Creek High School will paint a pear on Sunday, October 7 at 10:30 a.m. with the 125th anniversary theme.
Keep Pearland Beautiful and the Global Organization for Divinity will keep the kids busy creating take-home art projects at the Kid’s Interactive Art Station open both days from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Pop-Up Paint Studio staffed by Pearland’s own Art & Kustom Kreations is popular with guests and returns again this year. Visitors can enjoy FREE paint instruction classes with sessions planned throughout the weekend for children and adults. Visitors can sign up for the classes on-site during event days.
