King’s Biergarten Opens Tuesday, July 14 on Founder Hans Sitter’s 67th Birthday

King’s Biergarten, the lively German-Austrian beer hall nestled in Pearland, is set to reopen on Tuesday, July 14 with a fresh, vibrant new look and revamped menu. The restaurant closed just shy of its ninth anniversary, shortly after Covid-19 first shuttered restaurants across the country.

Owner and founder Hans Sitter said the quarantine gave him the time to reflect on the past and envision the future, painting a vivid picture of how he wanted to move forward with his beloved biergarten that many have grown to love over the past decade. “The easy choice would have been to give up. We want to honor and support our community by providing jobs and providing our customers that unique, uplifting experience and escape from the outside world,” said Sitter, a fourth-generation restauranteur.

Sitter paid tribute to his loyal followers throughout the process and expressed his love for the Pearland community and reignition behind the project.

The brand-new King’s Biergarten has been remodeled to reflect a more modern German and American Bier Hall. Industrial light fixtures and natural light brighten up the reclaimed wood, leather seating, limestone and plants around the restaurant.

Fully equipped with a brand-new bar with 36 biers on tap, new interior, new dining room, new sign and a new parking lot, King’s Biergarten is ready to welcome guests back this Tuesday. Guests will be greeted with new murals painting the picture of Sitter’s homeland in the Austrian Alps and the restaurant he grew up in as a young boy.

Patrons can expect delicious new offerings – King’s take on the Austrian Classic dish the Wiener Schnitzel along with new schnitzels like the Tex-Mex, Cajun, BBQ, and Pizza. Other new offerings include: Crawfish Étouffée Balls, Pulled Pork Stuffed Jalapenos, Oma’s Meatloaf, Gourmet Hot Dogs, Oktoberfest Fries, and more flavors of King’s Famous Mesquite smoked wings.

For guests wanting the full experience, the Taste of Germany ($49) comes highly recommended – featuring biergarten favorites: Chicken and Pork Wiener Schnitzel, Bratwurst, Polish, Mesquite-Smoked Chicken, BBQ Pull Pork, Parsley Mashed Potatoes, Pickles Onion, Sports Peppers, Sauerkraut, Austrian Potato Salad, Cucumber Salad, Pretzel Sticks, Apple Horseradish, and King’s Mustard. Specialty dishes are served on a weekly basis like the Pork Shank for $15 on Mondays.

Raising the bar

The spacious bar will serve chilled half liter and liter biers filled with German favorites and Texas taps, along with delicious new cocktails to complement the elevated bar program: Empress G&T, Watermelon Margarita, Tequila Colada, and Haus Old Fashioned.

Live music will be playing every Saturday outside on the newly turfed biergarten.

King’s Biergarten will be open for dine-in and take out: Mondays 4 – 9 p.m., closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 4-9 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., and.
