Zoo Lights 2012-0004-8916In only its fourth year, TXU Energy Presents Zoo Lights has already become a favorite Houston holiday tradition and returns this year, more spectacular than ever. Featuring more than two million lights, the event at the Houston Zoo will now be extending operating hours on select nights Nov. 20 through Jan. 9. Guests can also warm up by ducking into the Reptile House, Kipp Aquarium or Carruth Natural Encounters to visit the animals who live there or sipping on hot chocolate at one of the zoo’s two cafes.

TXU Energy Presents Zoo Lights is a separately-ticketed event, held daily starting at 6 p.m. (Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas). The zoo closes for the day at 5 p.m. and re-opens as TXU Energy Presents Zoo Lights at 6 p.m. On peak nights, the event will now stay open until 11 p.m. For more information, or to purchase tickets, visit HoustonZoo.org/ZooLights.
