Artist, Margo I. Green, exhibits her abstract paintings during the month of July at Holiday Inn Express and Suites, 1702 N. Main St.(Hwy. 35) in Pearland.
Green, a noted artist in the Pearland and Houston/Galveston area, received her degree in art from Texas Woman’s University and holds additional certificates in Interior Design and Floral Design. Ms. Green is exhibition chair for the Pearland Arts League (PAL).
In addition to the Holiday Inn exhibit in July, PAL is offering art for sale and on exhibition with 90 pieces at Re/Max Top Realty at Texas 288 and Beltway 8; 23 pieces of art at Salons by JC on Pearland Parkway in the H-E-B Shopping Center, and 10 pieces of art at the Pearland Convention and Visitors Center adjacent to the pavilion at the Pearland Town Center.
Each of these locations supports the art efforts in Pearland and the exhibits are open during business hours and free for viewing to the general public.
“Abstract art encourages one to think. A conclusion must be reach by the abstract art viewer. One opinion of what the viewer is seeing is often different from the opinion of another. To make one think, expand their mind and determine what an abstract canvas means to them is why I paint,” said Green.
