Get a Peek at the Trail Riders

Starting the weekend before the big event, more than 2,000 trail riders begin their journeys from across the state of Texas to the Houston area in observance of the 1952 ride from Brenham in promotion of the Houston rodeo. Two of those trails run close to Pearland; the Southwest and Southwestern routes. You can find their schedules on the official Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo website if you’d like to meet up with them and offer a friendly wave.

Practice Your Two-Step

A perk of Pearland’s proximity to Houston is the amount of musical talent we see come through our venues. Hometown Sports Bar & Grill has put that talent, and our appetites, to work with rodeo-themed performances and dishes throughout the duration of the Texas-sized event. See the Junior Gordan Band, the Lauren Lee Band, Susan Hickman, and more on the Hometown stage and fuel up on festival favorites like chicken wings, fried pickles, and ice-cold beverages. You can find the full lineup at VisitPearland.com/ToDo.

Pearland hotels know what visitors need this time of year; this isn’t their first rodeo. Check out our list of accommodations and the map of hotel locations to find the right spot for you.
