Along with Mayor Cole, Tracy Rohrbacher, executive director of the Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau, awarded a total of $30,000 in grant funds to six Pearland-based, cultural arts organizations this week.

Beneficiaries include the Global Organization for Divinity, the Pearland Arts League, the Pearland Community Band, Pearland House Concerts, the Pearland Theatre Guild, and the Texas Chamber Symphony.  “We’re proud to recognize and support these six groups making a difference in Pearland,” said Rohrbacher. “These recipients produce events, performances, and overall arts programming that promote the City to visitors.”

The fiscal year 2022 recipient institutions support the arts community in Pearland and offer programming that encourages visitors and overnight stays. The Pearland Cultural Arts Grant program provides funds from the hotel occupancy tax for projects that support cultural arts.
