Brazoria County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Announces Inaugural Event
Gina Aguirre Adams, president and CEO of the Brazoria County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, announces the Brazoria County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and A-Better Plumbing will host a free Latin Festival on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pearland Town Center, 11200 Broadway Street. The opening ceremony begins 9:30 a.m. and includes a ribbon cutting.
“One of the truly great aspects of Brazoria County is its cultural diversity. Nowhere is that more pronounced than in our Latin community. People with Latin origins make up 30% of Brazoria County’s population, making it the second largest demographic in the county. This festival was created to provide a family-oriented Latin event that provides the Latin communities within Brazoria County a place to gather with family and friends to listen and dance to live Latin music, enjoy Latin food, and connect with Latin friendly businesses in an open social space to celebrate their heritage,” said Adams.
This year’s festival pays special tribute to the Latin culture with food, music, Ballet Folklórico performances and much more. The Latin Festival brings the Latin cultures of the Americas and the Caribbean together in one setting, providing the ultimate Latin experience for Pearland residents and visitors alike.
