The Houston Metro Go Texan Alvin/Pearland Committee gears up for its annual Alvin/Pearland Cars & Cowboys Car Show on Saturday, September 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bass Pro Shops Pearland.
Fans of classic cars can view 30+ classic cars and trucks plus a chance to shop for unique items. Concessions and DJ entertainment are part of the fun. A special 9/11 tribute will also take place.
All net proceeds benefit the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. In May 2015 the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo awarded $162,000 in scholarships to Alvin/Pearland High School students.
Classic car enthusiasts interested in entering a car in the show can take advantage of the $25 pre-registration fee ($30 day of show). Awards will be given in all classes. Registration and check-in takes place from 9 to 11 a.m. Free t-shirts and goodie bags to the first 75 entries.
