Homegrown Chef Ronnie Killen continues to top the lists on a weekly basis with his smoked creations at Killen’s Barbecue. Since the restaurant opening earlier this year, Killen’s Barbecue has received wide acclaim for smoked sausage, brisket, and ribs not to mention the sweets including bread pudding, seasonal cobbler and pecan pie. Recently, Houston Eater ranked Killen’s among Houston’s iconic meat dishes.

King’s Biergarten & Restaurant reigns as the Best German Restaurant in America. Hosting live music weekly, the local restaurant has carved out a spot as a local favorite offering German/Austrian cuisine, German draft beers and a whole lot of fun. Pollo Tropical celebrates their grand opening at 11400 Broadway in Pearland on Friday, July 11th beginning at 10 a.m. The beach party theme includes Steel Caribbean music, a Robo Surfer Media Challenge, a Drawing for Free Chicken for a Year Raffle plus a Dance Party from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.  The Caribbean style kitchen featuring citrus-marinated, tropical-spiced grilled chicken out of Miami Florida debuts its first Houston area location with the opening in Pearland.
