Visit Pearland Awards Over $30k in Cultural Arts Grants for 2026

Pearland Lunar New Year 2025 Hosted by the Pearland Chinese Association

New year, big plans. Seven local organizations are kicking off their 2026 with support from Visit Pearland’s annual Cultural Arts Grant.

The city of Pearland’s Cultural Arts Grant is funded through the hotel motel occupancy tax and requires each recipient to participate in marketing, promotion, and activities that increase tourism to Pearland during the city’s 2026 fiscal year. Visit Pearland, previously the Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau, has managed the Cultural Arts Grant program since 2013.

Grantees for 2026 include the Global Organization for Divinity, Lone Star Capital Diamond Foundation, Mantra Pearland, the Pearland Chinese Association, the Pearland Community Band, the Pearland Theatre Guild, and Silambam Houston. The $35,100 total for this year’s program is distributed across each nonprofit based on their specific needs.

“Visit Pearland looks forward to awarding the Cultural Arts Grant every year,” said Tracy Rohrbacher, executive director. “The program helps fund some really exciting tourism-friendly projects that bring visitors to the city and we have a great group of recipients for 2026.”

This year’s grant distribution coincides with Visit Pearland’s latest arts initiative; building out a new directory of Houston-area artists interested in working on Pearland’s public art projects, including an upcoming relaunch of the popular PearScape Program.

“Between the launch of Pearland’s Cultural Arts Master Plan, the upcoming reimagined PearScape Program, the second annual Pearland Grand Arts & Eats slated for April 25, and our 2026 grant events, it’s going to be a fantastic year for arts and culture in Pearland,” Rohrbacher continued.
