Music

Saturday

Brightwire |10:30 a.m.

Brightwire is an Americana band born from a household of musicians and hailing from the Houston-area. Combining elements of folk, rock, country, punk and whatever else they happen to get interested in, they weave tales of lives lived in our world today. For them, music is about inclusion and letting others know they are not alone in their struggles. They recently released their second album: Cracked, Flawed and Frayed. Cracked, Flawed and Frayed is a mix of new songs and selected older tracks.

Andrew Bateman |12:45 p.m.

Andrew Bateman spans the boundaries of genre to deliver a performance of unprecedented versatility. His compositions and arrangements are ever-adaptable to the venue at hand. In addition to a traditional solo repertoire Andrew utilizes a performance technique known as looping wherein he takes on the role of each band member. Audiences can expect to hear a different variety of original pieces mixed with an extensive repertoire of classic, cover songs arranged and adapted to the Spanish guitar. Flamenco, folk, contemporary, rock, blues and jazz and more combine to create a style that retains an upscale ambience while inviting patrons to let their hair down and have a good time. It’s upscale, not uptight.

Wendy Elizabeth Jones | 3 p.m.

Wendy Elizabeth Jones is a soulful Texas Singer Songwriter with a Roots & Americana flare crossing genres offering a taste of Rock ‘N’ Roll, Motown, Country, Folk and Blues. She has lived and performed all over and is currently based in her hometown, Houston, TX.
Wendy offers a lively energetic performance whether you catch her in a solo show or her full band.

Sunday

Kat Walters | 10:30 a.m.

Kat Walters is a local Houston artist who has performed at a number of Houston Bay Area venues including Chelsea’s, Friends Uncorked, and Marais. Festival performances include LCMF, Texas Music Festival, and local music fests in Austin and Houston. Kat explores a wide range of genres — from Folk, Indie, and Rock to R&B, Standards, and Pop; pairing her soulful vocals with acoustic arrangements to create a raw and intimate experience.

Matt Harlan | 12:45 p.m.

Houston favorite, Matt Harlan is a troubadour of the first degree, bringing his handcrafted songs to stages across his home state of Texas, the USA, and Europe. Recording and releasing new collections every few years, his first four studio albums drew ample praise from national and international Americana music lovers – landing in ears and on charts – setting the stage for the 2019 release of Best Beasts, his fifth record to date. Harlan is a winner of multiple songwriting accolades, from outfits like American Songwriter, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and Billboard. He was even named Singer-Songwriter of the Year in the 2013 Texas Music Awards and featured alongside a stellar cast of characters (Lyle Lovett, Guy Clark) in the documentary, For the Sake of the Song.

Anthony Puskás, The Hungarian Hitman | 3 p.m.

Anthony Puskás is a Houston native and has lived and performed in the South Houston area his whole life. The oldest of three children, Anthony has loved music as long as he can remember. He began playing guitar in 6th grade as part of a mini-course offered at his intermediate school. What started as a six-week course of introductory guitar, has grown into a passion that has taken him across Texas, to Oklahoma and Louisiana, and as far as the Mediterranean coast of France.
