Farmhouse style furniture and eclectic vintage décor fill the showroom of the newly opened Altar’d Interiors at the Pearland Town Center. The 6,000 square-foot furniture store is a dream realized for husband and wife owners, Colby and Mandie Morris.
Years ago, Mandie began painting furniture at home because of the family’s frequent moves related to Colby’s work. The multiple moves required the family to live in rental homes that Mandie wanted to personalize with painted furniture. One of the moves prompted the sale of furniture which led to an expected small business venture for Mandie.
Over the years, the popularity of Mandie’s painted furniture pieces eventually expanded to a small showroom by appointment only then led to a bigger store, and then an even bigger store in Pearland.
The selection of limited run furniture and one-of-a-kind décor are impressive. The high-end farmhouse style found at Altar’d Interiors is reminiscent of the look popularized on the Fixer Upper HGTV show created by Chip & JoAnna Gaines.
The Pearland store celebrated its grand opening in May this year. The couple has another location in Mont Belvieu just east of Baytown.
“We combine new furniture made of reclaimed wood, some newer furniture for the bedroom and dining areas, and add found décor to create an amazing look for your home,” according to Colby.
The Pearland showroom pieces rotate on a regular basis to give customers and shoppers plenty of inspirational ideas for their own home. Visit Altar’d Interiors at the Pearland Town Center, 11200 Broadway Street, during their normal business hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. or online at, www.altard.com
