The Pearland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (PCPAAA) invites the public to join the 13th Annual Pear Run on Saturday, May 6, 2017. The Pear Run includes a sanctioned 10K race certified by USATF, 5K race • walk and Kids Fun Run for children 8 and under. The race begins at 7 a.m. at the Pearland Town Center, 11200 Broadway St. Pearland, TX.

Registration is required for the race and can be completed online at www.pearrun.com or by picking up a form at the Pearland Police Department located on Cullen Parkway, City Hall on Liberty Drive, Pearland, TX. Adult registration is $35 in advance (through April 30th) and $40 on race day for the 10K/5K run. The Kids Fun Run registration is $12 before May 1st. See website for other registration fees. Unisex race t-shirts are guaranteed for racers who register before April 15.

The Pear Run benefits the Pearland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and the Pearland Police Department. Last year, the PCPAAA donated $45,000 towards the purchase and training of three new K-9 Officers. In 2015, $16,000 was donated to purchase 8 fully equipped Cannondale 29er Law Enforcement Patrol Bikes.

This year some of the funds collected will assist with sending the Pearland Honor Guard to the National Law Enforcement Memorial during National Police Week where our fallen Officer Endy Ekpanya will be honored. In addition, the PCPAAA will be able to help the Pearland Police Department procure other valuable assets as requested by the Pearland PD in 2017.
