tony booth in pearlandThe 12th Annual Tony Booth Day returns to Pearland on Saturday, May 4 at Billy’s Hall, 4070 Wells Drive. Booth along with a collection of country music artists bring a Texas dancehall vibe to Pearland during the annual event.

This year’s event features several performers including Marty Haggard, eldest son of Country music legend Merle Haggard and Brian Collins. Additional performers include Glenda Hundl, Texas Express Band, Dana Rowan, Rhonda Walters and Ed Gary on Saturday night’s line-up.

Marty Haggard is traveling and performing to pay tribute to his dad in song and story. Brian Collins charting over 15 songs in his music career had a number one single with “Statue of a Fool”. He wrote and charted “Hello Texas”, and later Jimmy Buffet recorded the song. Ed Gary is an actor/performer appearing in the movie “Smokie and the Bandit” with Burt Reynolds. Ed performs across the Unites States and has his own Opry in Arizona.

“Being able to perform our 12th annual event is a great honor. Having County Judge and Brazoria County Commissioners declare the first Saturday in May, Tony Booth Day in Brazoria County means a lot to me. I want to thank all the fans that show up for this event, it’s not possible without the fans,” according to Booth.
