Just around the corner, the Houston Zoo continues its Zoo Lights through January 4. Presented by TXU Energy, the annual spectacular has more than 2 million lights with larger than life displays completely illuminated. Evening entertainment includes carolers and musical groups. Galveston, located south of Pearland, has holiday offerings at Moody Gardens. The Festival of Lights is a mile-long trail with more than one million lights with a variety of themed scenes. Ice Land: Ice Sculptures with SpongeBob SquarePants includes elaborate ice sculptures created by a team of 31 professional ice carvers from Harbin, China.
