Next stop is Hidden Treasures – an upscale consignment store showcasing furniture and home accessories. The 15,000 square-foot showroom offers a unique selection of home décor. Tour the Sri Meenakshi Hindu Temple, the only temple dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi off the shores of India. Built in the 1970’s, it’s the third temple built in the United States and it replicates the original in Maduri, India. This temple also features a grand library, shop, market and cafeteria. You’ll find the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH). Named as the nation’s sixth-largest art museum, visitors will find 300,000 square feet of exhibition space filled with paintings, sculptures, costumes, photography and textiles dating to the antiquities. MFAH is a dynamic complex, anchoring the pedestrian-friendly museum district, with two gallery buildings, a sculpture garden, library, movie theater, café, gift shop, two art schools and two house museums.
