Reconnect with nature at the nearby Armand Bayou Nature Center. The 2500-acre preserve is one of the largest urban wildlife and wilderness preserves in the United States. Visitors can learn about plant and animal inhabitants, bird-watch, hike on the Nature Center’s trails or view live animal displays of snakes, alligators, turtles, hawks and bison.

The Houston Zoo is just around the corner and takes you for a walk on the wild side. The 55-acre zoo hosts an array of beautiful creatures.
