Rodeo_011The Galveston County Fair and Rodeo will be a boot scootin’ good time from April 10 – 18. This year’s fair entertainment line up is sure to please everyone from the Texas Music enthusiast to the Tejano admirer.

“We have put together an entertainment line up that allows a wide range of folks to enjoy a broad assortment of music,” Galveston County Fair and Rodeo President Paul Tibaldo said. “We want everyone to enjoy our fair, it’s for our community.”

This year’s fair kicks off with a familiar face and fair favorite, Kevin Fowler. Fowler’s concert last year was an explosion of a grand time. It is no surprise to have him back in the line up and to kick off the fair on Friday, April 10.

New to the fair is Granger Smith. Smith is a Texas Music sensation that has a huge fan base and will be bringing his show on Saturday, April 11. His concerts are full of trademark good music and unbelievable crowd-pleasing antics.

“You guys ready for some fun, great food and good music … come out and hang out with us,” Smith said. “It is our very first time to play the fair, so we are really excited.”

Ram Herrera is bringing his Tejano superstar status on Sunday, April 12. His powerhouse sounds have kept his fans loyal for decades. The fair will be hosting a variety of Tejano themed entertainment including opening act Grupo Vida, Mariachi music and Folklorico dancers throughout Go Tejano day.

The Spazmatics return to the fair on Thursday, April 16. The 80’s revival band is sure to keep you dancing…and singing your favorite songs from the past. If you haven’t seen their show, it is full of songs you know and love.

On Friday, April 17, Charlie Robinson will bring his songwriting and singing talents to the fair. He delivers human experiences (of his own) through a song list of hits.

And for Saturday, April 18 it is a double dose of a good time with Zane Williams and Jody Booth sharing the stage. Williams’ fans are known as “ Zaniacs” and you will see why the charismatic singer will have you wanting to two-step the night away. Booth’s fiddle induced tunes is country music that everyone can get into.
